Is Christmas Break Over Yet?

We all had a great time together during the Christmas break, but really....2 weeks?
On December 21st, we were able to find out the sex of baby barron #3 and ... it's .... a.... GIRL! There were mixed feelings on this ..mostly from Miss Madalyn Mae :) She ran to her bedroom and was crying hysterically because she wanted a 'brodder'..but by the next morning she was better and a little more understanding, if that isn't one for the baby book I don't know what is!

Saylor is now officially a 'walker' and getting better every day. She has a new word: dabadabadabadaba, sort of reminds me of The Flinstones, yaba daba doo!

Light Conversation With Maddy

Maddy and I were out running around on Saturday, when she starting asking me about jobs and money...and why you need both. I answered with the most reasonable answer I could think of...#1 you need money so you can buy the things you want and need...#2 you get that money from your job/career. She then told me she didn't want to have a job when she got older...I asked her how she would get money. She very seriously told me that she would just USE HER HUSBANDS WALLET...ahhhhhhh.....the mind of a 5 year old.

No MaMa...

So, Saylor is almost 14 months and is not interested in saying my name! I ask her very nicely every day to say 'mama'. She looks at me..smiles and shakes her head 'no'! So, here is what she will say:

• Maddy
• Diddy aka Kitty
• Tank You aka Thank You
• Uh-Oh

I won't give up hope!

I WISH It Were That Easy.....

So, Madalyn and I were playing the other night..and a commercial came on for the IKEA kitchen series..maybe you have seen it. Anyway..this was our conversation...I wish the mind of a 5 year old were that easy:

Maddy: Oohhhhhh Mommy, do you love the white one the best?
Me: Yes! I love white kitchens..they are so pretty!
Maddy: Well why don't you just go buy it?
Me: It will cost too much money and it isn't that easy to set up a kitchen moo
Maddy: Oh, ok...well then you can just ask Santa for it then!

Oh...my! Reminds me of the time I wanted something when I was little (which was every day) and my Mom said she didn't have enough money...I proceeded to tell her to just write a check :)




Great Fall Weekend!

...even though the weather wasn't very 'fall' like...we had a great time at the Legrae Farms Pumpkin Patch in Johns Island with MiMi & NoNo! Hayride (nasty cows and all), Scarecrows (I knocked the head off one :)), snowcones, rabbits, horses and pumpkins! Here are some pictures from our adventure to the 'other side of the earth'.....
